After a recent re-brand, FarOut was ready for a ​revamp of their email marketing foundations. ​They’re a GPS-powered guidebook app for ​backpac​king, hiking, biking, and paddling.
New Foundations
Everything from copy to design to tech ​configurations got​ a refresh:
- new welcome series​ automations
- new abandoned​ cart emails
- randomized coupon code g​enerator​ app install
- fixed years ​of tech debt
- new mailchimp templates custo​m coded with​ ​their font
Re​sults
They went from a 15% open rate to a 60%+ open rate on their automated emails.
I added a random coupon code generator app that integrates with their Shopify store so their codes won’t be leaked to Google anymore. ~15% of openers used the coupon code to make a purchse.
Their new emails better match up with the new brand they’ve introduced. They’re also more accessible with as much text as possible native in Mailchimp rather than all the text being a part of Canva-generated graphics.
