Wondering what to post on LinkedIn to attract freelance clients?
You don’t need to go viral or become a thought leader overnight. You just need clear, client-friendly posts that show people what you offer, how you help, and how to hire you.
These three LinkedIn post templates have helped me—and many of my coaching clients—book out their freelance services without feeling salesy or stuck in “what do I even say?” mode.
Try one this week and let me know how it goes 👇

3️⃣ The Story Teller Post (with Help from Claude)
Sometimes you want something deeper—something narrative and emotional that helps your audience feel connected to your offer. That’s where AI can help you get started.
Use this prompt with Claude (or ChatGPT) to generate drafts you can tweak to sound like you:
Prompt to give Claude:
Hey Claude, I need to write 10 story-led marketing posts for my LinkedIn that target my ideal client. My services are: [insert what you offer]
Here’s more about me: [about, background, personality]
Here’s more about my audience & how I can help them:
- What’s their current reality?
- What are they doing now that isn’t working?
- What process would I take them through to get results?
- What’s possible for them when they succeed?
Bonus: Here’s a sample of my writing so you can match my voice: [optional]
🛠️ Pro Tip: Use this to create content that’s warm, human, and full of emotion—and then add your CTA at the end.
✅ Want to See Real-Life Examples?
I’ve used all three of these post types on LinkedIn—and so have many of my clients. If you want to see real examples of these in action, just reply to the newsletter or DM me on LinkedIn. If enough people are interested, I’ll include them in next week’s edition of The Fizz 💌
And if you post using one of these prompts, tag me—I’d love to support your post and cheer you on!
🧠 FAQ: Using LinkedIn to Book Freelance Clients
How often should I post on LinkedIn?
Aim for 2–3 times a week to stay consistent without burning out. Even once a week can build momentum if you’re strategic.
What kind of images should I include with posts?
Use branded graphics, screenshots of testimonials, or even styled text posts. Canva is your best friend here!
Do I have to write long posts to get engagement?
Nope. Short and clear often works better—especially if the CTA is obvious and the value is real.
What if I don’t have a huge audience?
That’s okay! Many freelancers land clients from posts with <50 likes. What matters most is that the right people see your content.
