- Decide which service/niche is your anchor (that'll be what you mainly use)
- Determine how many of each service/niche you want to have
- Switch your profile based on which type of client you're trying to get:
- Headline
- About
- Featured
- Posts
Keep a Google Doc of Abouts and Headlines to make it easy to switch! :)
So a lot of you guys have asked me about how you can have multiple niches and how you can still get clients with LinkedIn in both of those niches.
So I used to have a SaaS profile. And a outdoor industry profile. I know a lot of people do this.
Shelby has done it. She'll do lifestyle and non-profit SaaS. I know Michelle is working on doing it, which is why I make this video because she asked me about it personally right now.
The way that I've been positioning it is I'll do tech like SaaS and I have one for coaching. Um, I do not have two separate accounts on LinkedIn.
I have one LinkedIn profile and I will change the content. of my profile based on what I'm trying to get.
So when I need one on one coaching clients, I will change my profile over to make me look like I'm just a coach, but I also sort of do writing.
And when I need writing clients, I switch it to writing. clients. Typically, I will need one on one coaching clients every three months because the program that I offer is three months long.
I've since kind of switched to a rolling basis, but we don't need to get into all those details. You can do this too.
I would think about which needs to be done. It's probably going to be your anchor. So when I was doing outdoor writing and SaaS, SaaS is my anchor because I earn more with them and the contracts are more consistent.
So uh my profile will the majority of the time be SaaS SaaS SaaS and I do one outdoor project per month or quarter depending on how big the project is.
So I will only make my profile be outdoors focused for the duration of time that I am seeking those outdoor clients and then as soon as I get an outdoor client for the quarter or for the month then I switch it back to SaaS.
So I'm gonna show you what I mean by this. I'm not going to change my profile right now because it's currently in a state that I enjoy but right now I have it as both but that's because I'm not looking for clients.
2:10
When I am looking for clients let's say I was looking for SaaS companies I would only have this part as my headline.
2:16
If I was looking for coaching clients I would only have this part as my headline. And then I change my about based on when I'm trying to get.
2:25
So you can find the templates that I use and here I actually use both of these templates. This is the get clients guidebook.
2:31
It's actually also in the freelance resource library. I think you guys have all seen it before but it's embedded in here so you can just copy and paste from in the library.
2:46
These are the templates that I use. I have made a google doc that has my abouts in here and I'll also put all test headlines and I'll put headlines in here that I want to keep for later.
2:57
Um so I have one about for coaching, it has testimonials, it has info. I'm like, who I help and how I help them and what they might be struggling with and then I also have one for writing separately and the writing one just mentions my- coaching and the coaching one just mentions my writing, right?
3:18
Umm so it's not to say that you can't mention that you do both of these things and then the featured section I will edit it every time I switch my- my profile back and forth so uhh right now it's a mix but if I was doing coaching I would have this one, I would definitely have this one, I would have this
3:37
one but if I was doing writing I would switch to this one umm and like you can use your best judgment I feel like it's pretty easy to understand how to do this at this point umm if you don't understand shoot me a message and let me know what you're struggling with about having switching your profile
3:58
around like don't be afraid to change it it's a living documents you're a living human being it's just like any other social media profile like you change your Instagram profile picture you change your headline like you change your about it's the same thing umm I will also change the about on my website
4:16
when I do this uh not the about the services page if I'm looking for a specific type of client and then as far as posting goes you can post about both but again like think about who you're targeting if you're trying to get one-on-one coaching clients you're going to post about one-on-one coaching if
4:29
you're trying to get writing clients you're going to post about writing so you and the same is true like if you were a consultant you could treat it the same way that I treat my coaching um just like replace it with consulting you know uh so hopefully this helps you have multiple niches or offer multiple

services on LinkedIn and if you have any questions about it Feel free to let me know in Slack.
