  • Forwarded you to someone else who hasn’t replied
  • Might not be the right contact
  • Are overwhelmed, over-Slacked, over-emailed, and can’t handle one more inbox

Silence almost never means you’re not good enough.

More often, it means the timing isn’t right.

You’re not losing out on opportunities — you’re planting seeds you can’t see blooming yet.

Re-Set Your KPIs: LinkedIn Has Different Math

Expectations are where most freelancers get tripped up.

We grew up believing 60% is passing (thanks school).

But on LinkedIn? 25% is success.

With the system I teach, freelancers typically see:

25% of connection requests accepted

25% of those accepted eventually become clients

75% of people never respond — ever

When you understand the math, the silence stops feeling like failure.

It starts looking like data.

For context:

  • Cold email gets an ~8% response rate
  • Social content converts at ~2%
  • Email launch sequences convert at ~5%

This is why persistence matters more than perfection.

Focus on the Numbers — Not Your Feelings

When you catch yourself thinking:

…pause.

Check your numbers.

Look at how many people are:

  • Open to future pitches
  • Three+ follow-ups in
  • Asking for your portfolio
  • Scheduling discovery calls
