You've sent your connection requests. You've sent your LOIs. Now it's time for the step most people skip — and the one where clients actually come from.

This week is Follow-Up #1: the "Do you ever work with freelancers?" message.

This step is sneakily powerful. Lots of client convos start right here. 👀

💡 Why follow-ups work

Most freelancers send one message and give up when they don't hear back. But silence doesn't mean no — it usually just means busy.

Following up consistently and casually is what separates the freelancers who stay booked from the ones who don't.

You will not get clients if you don't follow up. This is where the magic happens.

🛠️ What to do this week

  1. Open your Ideal Clients Tracker
  2. Find every company with a follow-up date scheduled for this week
  3. For each person at that company, send this message:
"Hey [name], do you ever work with freelancers at [their company]?"

Short. Casual. No pitch. Just a question.

  1. Update their status to "FU 1" in your tracker
  2. Set their next follow-up date for 2 weeks from now

If you still have time — send new connection requests too and keep that pipeline moving!
